KEDDO’s Economic and Community Development staff provide a broad array of planning and technical assistance support services for both county and municipal officials interested in taking advantage of state and federal financial programs to invest in economic development infrastructure projects. The staff helps county and municipal officials prepare applications for both the US Department of Commerce Economic Development Administration (EDA) and the Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) program.
The Planning Grant funded from the U.S. Department of Commerce enables the staff to be very involved within the KEDDO District at the local levels. The staff offers grant writing assistance and grant administration to our communities for a variety of different grants such as: (CDBG) for Water/Wastewater Projects, Community Revitalization Projects as well as Economic Development Projects. In addition, we assist communities with Oklahoma Land & Water Conservation grants for Park and Recreational use, U.S. Department of Homeland Security (Assistance to Firefighters Grant Program) for EMS and Fire Equipment, Oklahoma Water Resources Board for Water and Wastewater grant applications, District Attorneys Council Block Grant for law enforcement equipment and the staff is continuously seeking other funding sources that will benefit our district.
For information regarding the above mentioned programs please contact Steve Smalling, Projects Director by E-Mail at ssmalling@keddo.org, or Luke Underwood, Economic Development Specialist at lunderwood@keddo.org.
