CENA- Community Expansion of Nutrition Assistance
The Oklahoma Legislature has made available State funding to be used for improvements of nutritional conditions at Independent Senior Citizens Centers and Community Centers in the KEDDO Area Agency on Aging District.
Funds are awarded from the Oklahoma Department of Commerce to Councils of Government (COG) with Oklahoma Department of Human Services (OKDHS) designated Area Agencies on Aging (AAA) in accordance with the Oklahoma Administrative Code Title 150: 100. The awarded AAA distributes funds to eligible Senior Centers using an application process. This Request For Application is contingent upon the appropriation of State Funding to the CENA Program. CENA center allocations are based on if state funding is provided from year to year.
The CENA funds may be used for but not limited to food cost, utilities, insurance, paying labor and equipment at independent senior centers or community centers. The CENA funding year will run from July 1st and will end June 30th.
